Tokyo finally opened one of its beaches – in Kasai Rinkai Park – to swimming, reports Japan Times. The beaches of Tokyo were closed back in the sixties due to the pollution – it became literally dangerous to swim in the Tokyo bay. It is amazing that Japanese managed to clean up the environment to such an extent that swimming in Tokyo became reality again. I am looking forward to trying it out :)
