By Virtual Desktop, do you mean more than one desktop, or more than one
desktop where each one is in reality larger than the resolution that you
run at? For Instance.. Is there an extra inch or two on each desktop, or
is each one totally new from the last?? I have come across several people
who refer to the "virtual" desktop as each seperate "window."
If You have no virtual desktop enabled in XF86config, then you will not
have a virtual, unless you have aliased startx to start at a lower res
than what you have set in your XF86config, in which case, you will have a
virtual desktop the size of whatever you set it for there. Unless, of
course, you are using AccellX, in which case, you are looking in the wrong
place all together. Nevertheless, I don't think that what you are talking
about is Afterstep related. I am confused however, as to why you feel the
pager affects a "virtual" desktop. The pager controls the different
desktops...whether they are virtual or not...*note* You don't need a pager
to have several desktops, I prefer to not look at the pager, and use the
control-arrow keys instead of clicking on that annoying trackball that I
dont know why I wasted my money on. The only think its good for is a
little xboing after my daily dose of the Afterstep mailing list.
I'll Stop babbling now.
