Ok, I've tried commenting out the Pager lines in wmconfig.conf and in
wharf, as well as autoexec....

I think it disables the Pager, which leaves me with a blank background and
the virtual desktop remains! (in my XF86Config file, the desktop size =
resolution, so X is not providing the virtual desktop) How do I turn this
stupid virtual desktop off?
