Need help with Afterstep...

Hi. I'm having just a little trouble getting afterstep
running on a new Debian 2.0 installation.
When I try to run it, it tells me it can't find certain
fonts in the adobe-helvetica family.
I'm wondering where the fonts could be found so I could try installing
them? Or maybe they're there and Afterstep simply doesn't know where
to look?
I have *not* had problems with other applications or wm's not being
able to find fonts... EXCEPT for a spreadsheet called siag.
I went through my past pile of afterstep digests, and couldn't
find anything relevant except that someone with a similar problem
was directed to use "xset +fg" to fix things. I tried that, and
it didn't work, and the manual page wasn't that big a help.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions?
Phil
