AfterStep is MESSED!

Hey, i really like afterstep 1.4.5.0 half a year ago and it was easy to
use and run.
i didn't work with linux a while and 2 weeks ago i accessed it again.
now i wanted to install AS but now the new version 1.4.5.55.
in the readme, no libs are mentioned and all the installation gave me a
lot of errors, after 1 week of trying i got desperated and got
WindowMaker. imust say the readme is very clear about it's needs and how
to install and i didn't get even 1 error.
what i want to say here that AfterStep misses ALOT of people (like me)
that want to use afterstep but it's hard and cmplicated to install!
please make it like windowmaker so i can go back and use afterstep
ps- i know 1.4.5.55 is still kinda beta but it happend with the so
called stable version 1.4.5.0
