Ok, I found that IMAP allows polling of the mailbox in a read-only
mode without kicking out the existing connections (read RFC).
So, for IMAP it is not a problem anymore - no race conditions
between the mail client and asmail.
For POP3, it seems, there isn't such an option. So we are stuck
with the race condition there.
