More Info on Transparency bug: tied to blackbox?

I first tried to look through the source to try adn find the 'bug' myself.... 
after no success I decided to try a different window manager so I changed my 
.xsession to launch twm instead of blackbox...

And BOOM transparency works full with -sh again....

So... um, I guess this lies in the lap of whomever compiled the latest 
blackbox for Debian, and I will contact them... if anyone has any other ideas 
or observations, I'm happy to listen.
