Yes, sound can be annoying... however, I believe that a carefully
constructed sound "scheme" can enhance the working environment.
Aggh! I am writing about work (four letter word ending in "k") from
my home computer which is specifically *not* for work. ;-)
It's no big deal that the sound files were not in the package.
Someone posted the URL to an ftp site with multimedia files so I am
downloading some sound files and then constructing a sound "scheme"
for myself.
I moved to Linux for several reasons, not the least of which is the
adventure of learning how to use it! I've already learned quite a bit
in the last few weeks though I surely haven't even scratched the
surface. :-)
