It sure did and I want to thank you.  It explains a number of things I was
kinda guessing about.  (Like the role of those desk# and #bpp directories.  I
had pretty much guessed right but your response is much appreciated.)

It also raises a couple of others that I didn't ask in the earlier post.
(Prob'ly 'cause I was embarrassed to reveal just how new I am to this thang.
:-)

First, how do I get from one "desk" to another?  (Hey, I know that sounds
simple, but I can't figger it out.)  I suppose I could put 4 pagers on my
wharf (would that work?) but I'd rather not.

Second, can I do anything to change my color depth?  (It's now 16 but I'd
like to see if raising it to 24 can solve a peculiar problem that has just
become apparent.)

Anyway, I've got my pixmaps working now and I understand how things work
(pretty much) so, once again, big thanks.
