The standard install moves your old AS to a new directory before
installing the new one.  You can find your old stuff there.

PLEASE note that configuration is _not_ always compatible between
versions.  There have been several changes over the last few versions, as
the developers try to work out how best to implement compatibility with
the GNUstep directory hierarchy while yet implementing requested features.
(I might point out, at this jucture, that I think they're doing a bang-up
job!)
