	Suggestion: upgrade via rpm with one from either the
ftp.afterstep.org site or ftp.the-site.dyn.ml.org (my pseudo mirror).

	I am pressuming that by these Icons you are referring to those
in the Wharf(?). Are you running out of colors - check the console where
you started AS or the term you are grabbing console messages. Are they
still gone if you "recycle/restart" AS? If it's colors, try running with
the 8bpp base file and using 8bpp icons. There's a script that will
convert icons to less colors in the icons/ dir., as well as an 8bpp/ tree
with icons (pressuming the RH AfterStep = Official AfterStep).

	When you say running AS as root is fine, does this mean that
Netscape and other apps start? Do you have Netscape and these other apps
- what does "which netscape" say as user/root? Do you have the Netscape
variables set up - NPX_PLUGIN_PATH= and [MOZILLA_HOME= (heh, I don't have
this last one set :)] ? Here's mine:

	$ which netscape
	/usr/local/bin/netscape
	$ ls -l /usr/local/bin/netscape
	/usr/local/bin/netscape -> /usr/local/netscape/netscape
	$ ls -l /usr/local/netscape/netscape
	-r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel <size> <date> /usr/local/netscape/netscape
	$ echo $NPX_PLUGIN_PATH
	/usr/local/netscape/plugins

	Verify that the permissions to the directories/ allow user access
and execution privileges.

	Oh, well here's your problem, you'll have to purchase the
Linux Plus pack - just kidding, makes no difference.
