Installation of AS ---HELP!!!

Can anybody help? I have RH5.0 and I have installed the latest RPM of the AS binaries. The binaries were placed in /usr/share/afterstep/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep but I can't seem to run them at all. It continues to tell me that certain files are not under /GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/... I've copied the /GNUstep portion of the directory to the /root and / and still I am unable to run AS. (BTW: I've placed the files under /root because the startmenu script shows that it is looking for files under /root/GNUstep.)

Does anyone know what I should do to get AS to run?
