Hi, I am fairly new to linux and I am trying to get my AfterStep 1.4
working. I had a friend in #linux walk me through the installation step
by step so I am pretty sure everything is set up correctly. However,
this is where I get my error....I type "startx" at my user prompt and it
goes through the normal loading procedure of Xwindows, flashes the blue
screen then goes back to the prompt screen with an error that say's
"exec: afterstep: not found." I have tried messing w/ my ".xinitrc"
file and setting the correct $PATH and pretty much anything else that
you can think of (or I could think of). Basically I think my problem is
locating the "afterstep" executable and putting it in the ".xinitrc"
file. Anyway, I would appreciate any help possible, I have been working
on this for about a week. Is Linux really this hard?? Thanks in
advance...
Justin
