Doh, that last post was a bit premature.

There are a list of options that are within a "#if 0 ... #endif"
block (in configure.c)

It seems that some of the functions behind those are not implemented
(yet?).

I'm going to go poke through the source some more...  Maybe some of
the real developers could comment on this?  Am I missing something
else, that is obvious as well?  :)
