First off, I assume you are using a version of AS >= 1.4.3 . If
you are using == 1.4.5, the FAQ on the AfterStep page is useful; but it
you are using 1.4.5.55x, the FAQ for this version has not yet been moved
onto the help page of AS. A copy is available on my web site here:
1. http://www.the-site.dyn.ml.org/Linux/AfterStep/FAQ/
(Don't let the .dyn. fool ya, I'm on 24/7 or off only a max of 5
minutes to relog).
OR another server here:

The following are in ~/G/L/A/looks/look.file
title bar in the active window, aka TitlePixmap
title bar of inactive window, aka STitlePixmap
The following is in ~/G/L/A/winlist
running programs bar at the top of the screen, aka Winlist (no pixmap
option available)

Yes, but one that tiles well would be more appropriate than say an
icon for an iconified terminal. :)

You lost me on what you are trying to say here. :-\

The Pager, as the default, controls the background image (see the
"Desktops..." thread this list) and it has the ability to do jpg's as well
as xpm's - given you are using AS >=1.4.5.4 (I think that's where it
starts, maybe 1.4.5.3 - there were no Changelogs then :-\ ) Check out the
afterstepdoc on the menu for a FAQ related to your version about wether it
has this ability.

see the FAQ that is appropriate to you - the latest FAQ would be
the best, as most questions are answered there. And "AfterStepDoc" in the
menu.
