This would be the infamous "NumLock" bug, which dates as far back
as Dec. '96 - you'd think it would be solved by now. :) I bet you have
been using your NumLock key, right? I myself had this happen to me just a
few seconds ago. While looking through the archives, noone had a way to
fix it after it has happened, just simply don't keep the NumLock on - ya
know, hindsight stuff - duh! I don't think that is a good solution -
don't use 16 keys on your keyboard...just crazy. :)
I have reinit'd both my look and feel; this has no affect.
Restarting is like I'm back in winblows (and who wants this!). Some (in
the archives) suggested that using the WinList will allow you to gain
focus - I don't use this thing, so I couldn't tell you if it works. I
have been successful with using the Pager to give a window focus - what a
pain! - clicking on those tiny windows in the pager is a bitch at
1600x1200!!
So I am now stuck with having to use the Pager to gain focus -
this really sucks folks! Surely someone has a fix for this. I sure would
hate to have to restart AfterStep after everytime I wanted to use a
certain 16 keys on my keyboard. This sounds like a high priority bug
(since it has existed since '96).
