Wharf Swallow of a Pager

Greetings!

Has anyone been successful of getting a 2x2 pager get swallowed up by a
wharf in 1.4.5.55N6-1.i386.rpm?  I made backups of my
files; wharf, pager, autoexec and a couple of other files and just copied
them over the news ones, but I just can't get it to go.  I don't have a
pager right now and that one wharf that's supposed to have the pager in is
just the tile icon.  I don't have my favorite background as a result :(  

Can somebody please help me out?
