Well, if you are willing to try out my devel version of Wharf, check out 
ftp://ftp.afterstep.org/pub/devel/Wharf/afwharf-1.4.5.55N3.tar.gz

It patches MaxSwallow to fully swallow apps (like FullSwallow).  It also 
contains a couple of other new features, like the ability to have folders 
in folders, and swallowed windows in folders.
