Configuration

I've just installed AfterStep 1.4.55 and I can't seem to recognize any
or the changes I make
the settings / directorys in to ~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/ ... for
example, I created a file
in ~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/start called rxvt, this file contains 1
line:
/usr/local/bin/X11/rxvt &
I then saved the file and chmod +x the file.
Next I shutdown and restarted afterstep but the rxvt file doesn't show
up on my start menu.
All of this worked great in 1.4.
Finally, I went back and totally removed 1.4 from my system and
reinstalled 1.4.55, but
when I check my ~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/ directory, the only thing
listed is a non-configurable/ directory. I have manually copied the
configuration files from
/usr/share/afterstep into ~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/ but it still
doesn't seem to recognize
any changes I make. argh!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
