Looking for a good video card to use in Xwindows.

I am looking into purchasing a new video card for my computer. I don't
want to spend a lot of money but want something that will work with my
Linux system. I want to be able to go up to at 1024x768 and maximum
amount of colors. I am running Debian 1.3 Xfree86 and Afterstep. It
seems as though S3 makes a lot of cards that work with Xwindows.
