Well, thanks to Scott Stone, I packaged my first rpm. I've posted the following
files to ftp.afterstep.org's incoming directory, they should be available soon.
I've temporarily made them available from my machine at work:
Try http://duke.eburg.com/~gordon or ftp://duke.eburg.com/pub

AfterStep-1.4.5.3-MSG.tar.gz:
consists of the AfterStep 1.4.5.0 package patched to 1.4.5.3 and
two modifications of my own. First, I modified asfsm to handle icons better,
unlink it's temp files at more appropriate times, repaint itself when
uncovered,
and optionally draw vertical lines instead of horizontal ones ( -vl on the
command line). Secondly, I added the "FullSwallow" option to the Wharf so
that WMapps requiring 64x64 icons can have them. It also includes some of the
WMapps. Also has some of my look and feel files as contributions.

AfterStep-glibc-1.4.5.3-1.i386.rpm:
is an rpm of the above for glibc systems.

MSG.bgxpms.tgz:
a few of my own backgrounds. Put this one in your home dir and unpack.
 (a-la "tar -zxpf MSG.bgxpms.tgz")

After installing, try feel.MSG and look.MSG or look.sea_at_night. look.MSG came
from an fvwm setup I saw once. look.sea_at_night came from an enlightenment
theme.
The backgrounds are from enlightenment themes as well. I use look.sea_at_night
with the seanight.xpm in MSG.bgxpms.tgz.

I don't have diff's available. Sorry. If and when I get around to figuring
diff out, I'll make some.

If you like this stuff, let me know. Write encouragement to yinyang@eburg.com.
Likewise, let me know what I should work on.

Hope you all find this useful
