Editing Configs (also Average load)

I have been playing with my look and feel files and have run into some
problems. I first tried to edit the feel to remove some of the buttons
from my titlebar, namely the warp one on the farthest right. I
commented the lines out of my look.DEFAULT and tried to restart
afterstep. X crashed and dropped me back to the xdm login. I could not
then login. I had to copy the non-configurable directory from
/usr/share/G/L/A and undo my changes before I could login. Much the
same happened when I tried to edit out the line in my feel file dealing
with button 1, namely adding another function and using it instead of
"Move-or-Top". Anyone have any Ideas?
Also, I have noticed the same thing about my load. I did a top and
noticed that Wharf was using a consistent 96% of my CPU. What gives?
Thanks
Mike
