AfterStep X Server trouble?

Hey all,
Quick AfterStep / RedHat question. If this is to basic please direct me
to the
appropriate FAQ. I just installed RedHat on my machine, set up the X
Server,
and created a user account. I started up the X Server and AfterStep
without any
problems at all. But as soon as I logged in as the new user account (not
root) when
I tried to run the startx process I get an error saying that basically I
don't have
permissions to run the XF86 X Server. It also mentions something about
having to
suid the startx process. I tried placing suid root at the top of the
startx shell
script
with no success. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? I want to
XServer to
be run at startup of any user. So I guess the 2 questions are:
1. How do I set up the XServer to be runnable as any user? If this is
not the
right method should I but the XServer in the boot script?
2. How do I automatically have it execute the XServer at login for all
users?
Thanks for the help all. Also, once I get up and running I would like
to
participate in the development of AfterStep or WindowManager. Whichever
is recommended. I am a pretty good programmer. I actually do it for a
living
as well. Well anyhow, catch you all later.
