Or if your running some version of Linux like Redhat or SW or such, just
alais ls to ls --color (And your favorite switches, like mine is alias ls
ls -aF --color)
Hope that short answer helps, though I did enjoy the long one (I like
throwing that on solaris boxes and aliasing everyones ls, `specialy with
messed up termcaps ;)
