Nope, I haven't heard this before.  I'll try running xcalc on my Solaris 
2.3 box next chance I get.  The problem might have mysteriously 
disappeared by now, but it hasn't been explicitly fixed, AFAIK.  More 
information would be welcome.

It should be harmless, but you might run configure with the --x-includes 
option just to be sure.  I use the openwin headers (I don't use XFree), 
so I'm not sure.
