Reuters reports that they came across an American fighting against the Kiev junta in Ukraine.
“I’m an American. I joined an independence movement,” said Hunter, flashing a U.S. passport as proof of his nationality.
Using his “nom de guerre” and refusing to reveal his real name, age or home town, he described himself as a veteran of the American military without a job in the United States. He did not explain the reasons for his commitment to helping the rebels.
“I don’t want anybody to think I fight for the Russian government here,” he said, adding that he was in eastern Ukraine to “help” the population demanding a clean break from Kiev.
Many are now wondering what sanctions U.S. will impose on itself for their now apparent support of “separatists” in Ukraine…… --> continue reading →
The People’s Republic of Lugansk appealed to U.S. President Barack Obama to influence the Ukrainian authorities, so that they stop military operations in the east of Ukraine. The statement published on the website of the Lugansk Republic.
The Lugansk Republic government states that “the humanitarian and technogenic catastrophe forces us to turn to you for influence on the Ukrainian authorities for an immediate cease-fire and rescue of hundreds of thousands of civilians who are every day exposed to artillery and missile attacks and air strikes by the Ukrainian regular army and illegal armed groups of neo-fascists.”
The statement announces that the south-east of Ukraine will never be Ukrainian again, “regardless of the outcome of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation”.” The authors of the statement also note that they no longer believe Ukrainian officials and military, who cannot be expected to keep a promise. Barack Obama was selected as the recipient of the message because “the severity of the crimes of the Ukrainian authorities, for whatever reason, was not yet recognized by the EU and the United States.”
“It [the cessation of military operations] will save hundreds of thousands of civilians and will help you to rehabilitate after Washington backed the illegal usurpation of power in Ukraine by neo-fascists and mass murder of civilians in Donbass” – says Lugansk Republic.… --> continue reading →

Oekraïense grenswachten in Milove, waar flink gevochten is.

Eleven radical activists of the nationalistic “Right Sector” were liquidated at the checkpoint near Donetsk in Ukraine. As the correspondents report, the bus with the nationalist militants of the “Right Sector” drove from Zaporozhye in the direction of Donetsk.
At one of the roadblocks the Ukrainian nationalists opened fire on army positions of Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR). Despite the element of surprise, the men of DNR quickly repulsed the attack. In a shootout that followed eleven nationalist militants were eliminated. DNR has one man wounded. Criminals were wearing expensive imported camouflage and were armed with firearms and grenade launchers.

In Ukraine, the soldiers returning from combat are placed in mental hospitals for criticizing the government’s punitive military operation against the East, reports LifeNews. Commanders hope that the stories of the events in the Donbass will be taken as delirium dreams from former mental patients.
Soldiers are increasingly critical of punitive methods that are used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine against the population of the south-east of the country. Mobilized and sent to fight against their own people, Ukrainians make claims and argue with the commanders and talk about the horrors of war to the reporters. The army came up with the idea to turn them into crazy.
This was told by the soldiers of the Ukrainian army, who took part in the military operation and were taken prisoner by the militias. According to them, the Ukrainian military relies on the fact that nobody would believe a person with a diagnose that he was “sick in the head”.
“I would not call it rumors anymore. A lot of people talk about this, especially from the 95th Airmobile Brigade from Zhitomir. They tell stories of those who have seen what is going on here, began to resent … those people are forcibly put in the hospital and make sick,” – say soldiers.
The militia captured a group of soldiers of the Ukrainian army near the town of Anthracite in the east of Donetsk on 11 August. Defenders of Donbass promise to treat all surrendered soldiers humanely and help them return home. Prisoners themselves say that they do not want this fight against their own people.
“We were told that there are Russian. I did not see any. I have seen people who live on their land and are defending it. We were simply told to go fight,” – said one of the prisoners. According to him, all the Ukrainians do not need to listen to power in Kiev, and should return to their homes.… --> continue reading →
Rostislav Ishchenko, the president of the Center for Systems Analysis and Forecasting, gave an interview to “Prague Telegraph”.
Question 1: In response to recent events in Ukraine how probable is an armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Russia and NATO?
Answer: The conflict between Russia and Ukraine will be possible only if the regime in Kiev directly attacks Russian territory (most likely in the Crimea peninsula). If such an attack will not take place, the conflict will further develop in the format of the Civil War, with a gradual and accelerating move of the front line to the West.
As for a conflict between Russia and NATO, the probability is extremely low. Even if the individual contingents of NATO will be present on the Ukrainian territory, and even if Russia will have to officially send own forces to neutralize their troops (which is unlikely, since the militias are able to solve this problem by themselves), it’s just going to be the destruction of the individual armed contingents of individual countries. But this does not mean that NATO will take over the responsibility for the conflict. That is because the recognition of NATO (and thus the United States) itself in a state of armed conflict with Russia leads to an almost inevitable nuclear standoff. USA is ready for a war between Russia and Europe, but the United States is not ready to place their own cities under a threat of a nuclear attack.
Question 2: In what direction is the situation developing in Ukraine? How long will we have to wait for a win / loss of one of the parties?
Answer: Resources of the Ukrainian state are extremely limited. On the other hand the Western world does not have the resources to maintain Ukraine either. Therefore, it seems to me, the active (military) phase of the conflict is to end by the late winter, tentatively by January 2015. And Kiev must be defeated because if Kiev suddenly defeats Donbass, then the United States will face the question of what to do with this “suitcase without a handle” and where to get the resources to maintain it? Kiev’s defeat in the Civil War absolves America of all responsibility. In Washington, they will announce that it is all Putin’s fault. But if Kiev wins and then collapses under the weight of economic problems, the blame will be squarely on Washington, who would appear too greedy to rescue an ally.… --> continue reading →
Ukrainian citizens suffering from the next wave of mobilization, faced a new disaster. Now, apart from the people the government began to mobilize vehicles.
In the first place the authorities are interested in the property of the owners of SUVs, pickups and minivans. Car mobilization has just begun, and there are already dozens of victims only in Kiev. In addition to private owners, the car and truck fleets and legal entities are also “mobilized.” However, what the junta is trying to take away from people are not those little old Lada’s, but mostly high-class respectable vehicles. In this regard, the lawyer Maxim Kopeychikov of the law firm “Ilyashev and Partners” told of one such case: “One of our clients owns a small firm, one of the military offices of Kiev wanted to take his vehicle Mercedes-Benz Viano for the needs of the Army. We won’t discuss now why such a luxury car is wanted for the military, we can only guess it is likely for some general. Our client wanted us to be present at the transfer of the car, and for a good reason. The military made wrong deeds of conveyance initially, and did not want to assess the vehicle. Our client even threatened that he would drive the car to service for repair and remove the engine. Eventually everything was settled within the framework of the legislation. We already know several such similar cases of the mobilization of vehicles.”
The Ukrainian automotive forums widely report that the army “call” the most expensive cars, which raises a lot of questions to the authorities. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the draft boards have full information about what cars are available in their area. Also, the military actively collects from the owners various trucks. It should be noted that the mobilization of the vehicles demonstrates the grave reality of the war situation and a deep crisis of the Ukrainian armed forces.… --> continue reading →
Ukrainian millionaire Mikola Berezovyi was killed in a fight with militia during his “safari” to Eastern Ukraine on August 10.
Ukrainian army kills civilians in the south-east of the country, firing artillery on the cities and towns. So the military works to ensure that the survivors flee their homes and leave the country, confidently states the militia commander of Lugansk People’s Republic Alexander Mozgovoy.
“There were even occasions when tourists in “hot spots” were given the possibility to shoot from the army’s tank or cannon for money. That is, people come to the war zone like if on safari … That is how the Ukrainian military earn money from someone else shooting at the cities for them,” – said Alexander Mozgovoy.
Some of the volunteers of the punitive forces do not hesitate to publish a price list on the social networks. To shoot from a tank, volunteers pay two hundred dollars, out of a howitzer – one hundred dollars. But to shoot an inhabited village, the tourists are willing to pay three hundred fifty dollars. Kiev government values people very cheap and foreigners traveling to Ukraine to kill for pleasure treat people as animals.
The leader of the militia is sure that Kiev does not need people of Donbass, they are redundant in the area where the government is planning to mine for shale gas. In Slovyansk, recently captured by the Ukrainian Army after weeks of bombardment, there is already a shale gas fracking tower and the equipment has been delivered to one more village. So this total genocide of the people is performed for economic reasons under the guise of a military operation.… --> continue reading →
