[As-users] AS 2.00.02 seems not to honor mid-line # comments

Well, I think I'm back to AfterStep for good ... well, maybe until the
next major rev. I've been using IceWM and I sure miss the virtual
desktop.
I had a problem with Firefox starting on desk 1. I checked
/usr/local/share/afterstep/database and found this line:
Style "Firefox-bin" Icon mozilla-star.png #, StartsOnDesk 1
After verifying that I had no database file in ~/.afterstep/, I copied
the system file to there. Then I took out the "#" and changed it
to desk 2 to verify that it had an effect, which it did. Then I
removed the formerly commented material so that it looks like this:
Style "Firefox-bin" Icon mozilla-star.png
Now Firefox starts anywhere. So it appears that the config parser is
not honoring "#" characters in the middle of the line. Or have I
missed something else?
Cheers,
