AfterSep uses asetroot to set background images. It will do scaling, tiling,
etc. on the fly for you. ~/GNUStep/Library/AfterStep/asetroot or
/usr/local/share/afterstep/asetroot is the file you want to modify. The
asetroot manpage contains all the details.
