Running Afterstep on Mac OS X....

Afterstep on Darwin/OS X:

Still wondering if any AfterStep users out there have had any luck running
AfterStep on Mac OS X.  I'm relatively new to AfterStep, so I don't know
much about it, but do know a fair deal about *Nix systems.

I haven't had troubles getting xFree86 to load and boot when I log in to OS
X as the ">console" user, but I can't get AfterStep to run.  Any tips,
configuration suggestions, or ideas on where exactly I need to place the
AfterStep files or if I need to set up permissions?  Thanks in advance--any
suggestions would be appreciated.
