hypertext links in *terms

I saw the thread a while back about being able to double click on
http:// addresses in aterm/rxvt. I read some of the thread, but
didn't see if this came up or not. I just saw a news item on
http://news.gnome.org/gnome-news about an affiliated project with
Mozilla (did you follow that reference? :-) ). It is called XMLterm.
It implements an xterm compatible term using the Gecko layout engine.
The project faq says it is like a scrolling desktop. I'm not sure
what I think about its day to day usability, but I do think the
intentions are good. Visit the home page at http://xmlterm.org. He
admits that it is slower than xterm; but his stated goal is to provide
some radical improvements to the command line interface.
