note, i did not say it was a stupid feature, i was merely saying that 
gnome-terminal and its cousins are stupid.  it might be a rather nifty
feature, but it is the program running inside the aterm that would need
to be responsible for such a feature.  for example, w3m (an ncurses
web browser) can launch netscape for links if you ask it to.  

pester the bash|zsh|tsch|whatever coders to add it, i guess.
