Oh, right.  I forgot to mention this, but this doesn't really work for
me.  Only a small section at the top of the bar is transparent, and then
(when there has been some scrolling so that the scroll bar appears), the
scrollbar appears completely black with white highlights.  Not really
very pretty.  It looks a bit buggy...  Anyway, I don't really need it
transparent, just darker grey would be fine.

The image that wasn't working was set with xv (xv xv -root -quit image).
If I use the Start/Desktop/Pictures method, then it does change it for
the aterms.  Maybe I shouldn't be using xv?

But I just discovered another problem with that -- every time I select
an image from there, I get this tiny 1x10 pixel (or something like that)
asetroot window which remains!  Also, they won't go away with "Delete",
I need to use a "Destroy" to get rid of them.

Restart works fine here.  I just tested it.  Thankfully this email
window didn't crash, or I would've needed to type this all again! :-)

And which color for tinting?
