about the efnet situation
irc.core.com
irc.cdc.net
irc.ais.net
irc.freei.net
irc.frontiernet.net
are all good, usually non identd requiring servers.
however, as efnet is becoming more and more blunted, perhaps a switch
[or at the least a #afterstep on another network would be in order...]
