Supposing you have the directory AfterStep-xxxx/ which
contains the sources and the patches in the same directory
(like in /usr/local/src, for example):
cd AfterStep-xxxx
for i in ../1.7.142-* ; do zcat $i | patch -p1 ; done
or
gunzip 1.7.142-*
cd AfterStep-xxx
patch -p1 < ../1.7.142-01-xxxxx.patch
patch -p1 < ../1.7.142-02-xxxxx.patch
etc
Do not forget to do 'make distclean' if you compiled
the sources before - this will get rid of the old makefiles,
obj files and so on.
