either:

linux-newbie@vger.rutgers.edu - for simple stuff
linux-admin@vger.rutgers.edu - for more complicated stuff

subscribe to either by mailing majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu and sending
'subscribe linux-admin' (or linux-newbie).

(oh, some sort of mail filtering may help you. Both lists can carry large
amounts of mail every day)
