I'm sorry, I meant the look file.
there should be some Style's defined, here's one of the styles
defined from mine:

MyStyle "*PagerActiveDesk"
  Font          -adobe-helvetica-bold-o-*-*-10-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
  BackPixmap    129 
  BackColor     black
  ForeColor     white
~MyStyle


there should be one for each of the following:

MyStyle "*PagerActiveDesk"
MyStyle "*PagerInActiveDesk"
MyStyle "*PagerFWindowStyle" # focused window styles
MyStyle "*PagerUWindowStyle" # unselected window styles
MyStyle "*PagerSWindowStyle" # static window styles
