PS/2 Mouse default Speed under AfterStep

Sorry if this has been mentioned before (I'm new to Linux and this group)
but...

I have a PS2 mouse, running under Linux 5.2 and the latest Afterstep. I
have found where to change the acceleration setting for the mouse, but is
there a default speed setting.

Sure, the acceleration setting is great, but moving the mouse slowly is a
bit too slow for my liking.
