maximize problems (applying pathces)

Hello everybody,

I am experiencing some problems with maximize in AfterStep 1.7.90. When I try
to mazimize my windows they simply doesn't maximize (just grow a little bit).

Browing ftp.afterstep.org I found a patch dealing with maximization
1.7.90-10-allanon-maximize.patch.gz. Here is the silly question (sorry gurus!): 
How can I apply this patch? Could you give the exact command(s) I should use?
