startx on Red Hat 5.x (revised)

I've updated my startx overview to cover the latest xinitrc scripts from
Red Hat (which now include Gnome and KDE).  You can find it at

I've added a page on how the xinitrc scripts can be improved so that
window managers can be plugged-in/upgraded and become an automatic option
for the user, with no editing of .xinitrc or .Xclients needed.  This is at
