Yes. I have it installed on my Slackware System and I docked it fine, many
windowmaker apps can be used in afterstep..
I use this in my wharf:

# wmWheather
#
*Wharf weather - MaxSwallow "wmWeather" wmWeather -s KDET -delay 15 &
note the "KDET" is detroit :p
Do you have 'wget' installed?
