(in general) a + starts you from the top or left. a - starts you from
the bottom or right. Horizontal comes first, so
+0+0 upper left
+0-0 lower left
-0+0 upper right
-0-0 lower right
mote: most apps follow these rules and this is the position part (as
opposed to the size/shape part) of the geometry. i.e. look for geometry
in the docs.
