aterm

I have tried all suggestions for eliminating the aterm handles and 
titlebar and nothing works.    It's as if the Style line in my database 
file is never used when launching aterm.  Could there be a file that 
would override the aterm settings I have added to my database file?  In 
what directory should the database file be located?
