asmail TimeStampMode ?

Hello All,

Has anyone here used asmail's TimeStampMode successfully?

I'm trying to use it in cooperation with a script I have for checking
my mail on my IMAP server. The script touches my mailfile, whenever
new mail is present on the server. This makes asmail switch state
to NewMail - okay so far.

now I read the new mail. How does asmail change state back to OldMail,
or NoMail? - Essentially, after I get my first new e-mail, asmail
seems to be "stuck" in the NewMail state.
