I just wanted to say thanks for al the help. Actually what I ended up 
doing is , puting the Red Hat rpm Afterstep-1.5 Afterstep APPS-1.5.

Everything works just fine. Well, I am back using Afterstep the way I 
like it.

Take care, and when Red Hat releases there RPM of Afterstep, weel I 
guess I will see y'al lagain. They do have on thier rawhide ftp site. 
Though that is still testing.....
