Whew! Thank you ALL for helping me on this. Turns out that overall, I didn't have
the /usr/local/bin in my root path and for my user, I *smacks himself on the head*
didn't have .xinitrc in my /home/user directory. So everything is great! :) . . .
.Except.
When I get out of AS, This message appears:
X Error of failed request: BadDrawtable (invalid Pixmap or window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 62(X_CopyArea)
Resource id in failed request: #x#######
Serial number of failed request: ###
Current serial number in output stream: ###
I also get this message right before I get my prompt back:
tty_io.c: process 265(gpm) used obsolete /dev/cua0 - update software to use
/dev/ttys0
now the 2nd one kinda tells me what's wrong and how to fix it- but anyone know
Specifically
how to fix it? OH! and these 2 errors are unrelated as far as I know. Thanks a
whole HEAP! :)
