Ok, same problem, in WindowMaker, but it did not manifest itself until I
updated Netscape to 4.0.8. It happened twice; the first time saving a
page and I had to run fsck to correct it (not good). The second time I
was exiting Netscape and the system froze.A reset fixed it.

I think the problem is in Netscape , since I never had a problem before
I upgraded
