Solaris troubles

I downloaded the Solaris 2.6 binary, installed it, and then edited my
.cshrc file to include exec afterstep at the end. When I try to startx,
I get an error about not finding libz.so
Any clue to what this might be? Path, permissions, non-existent files,
etc...? Thanks for any help, AS looks by far the slickest desktop for my
Sun machine.
