I'm not sure that it's been incorporated into an X resource yet.
One suggestion is to make an alias for aterm which uses 'aterm -tr -tint',
then you could just call the alias and supply the -bg (for tint) and any
other options:
(in) ~/.bashrc
(add) alias asterm='aterm -tr -tint'
