Problems with Afterstep - Private colourmaps

Sorry if this is a repost, I wasn't sure the it got through the first
time I sent it.
I've experienced a few problems with 1.6.0. I;ve looked at the patch
changes and I can't see anything along the lines of my problem, so I thought I'd
mail it round as a possible bug and ask if anyone else has had simlar problems.
I use afterstep at work on Solaris 2.5.1 and we have a very limited
colourmap under X (we only have 8bpp max). I run many programs that are very
colour hungry using their own colourmap, like netscape (using netscape -install)
and Xv3.1 using the 'Use Own Colormap' option from the 'Display' menu.
My problem is that 1.6.0 seems to ignore this request and I can't get
the own colourmap options to work. Subsequently I run out of colours really
quickly. I was wondering whether this is a known problem and if it can be fixed
(it used to work in 1.0, I'm not sure about 1.4.5).
Thanks,
Henning
