MenuMiniPixmaps

I want to disable the minipixmaps in the menus
in the look files I have tried
MenuMiniPixmaps 0
and
MenuMiniPixmaps 1

but neither one turned off the pixmaps, and I ended up just rm mini-* from
the pixmap directories to get rid of them.
I am useing AS 1.6.0 on SunOS 5.5.1
How are you suposed to be able to turn off the pixmaps?
